DR Congo is 1.36 times as big as Alaska (US)

DR Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), also known as Congo-Kinshasa, DR Congo or simply either Congo or the Congo, and historically Zaire, is a country in Central Africa. It is, by area, the largest country in sub-Saharan Africa, the second-largest in all of Africa (after Algeria), and the 11th-largest in the world. With a population of around 90 million, the Democratic Republic of the Congo is the most-populous officially Francophone country in the world, as well as the 4th-most populous country in Africa (after Nigeria, Ethiopia and Egypt), and the 13th-most populous country in the world.

Alaska (US)

Alaska is a U.S. state on the northwest extremity of the country's West Coast, just across the Bering Strait from Asia. An exclave of the U.S., it borders the Canadian province of British Columbia and territory of Yukon to the east and southeast and has a maritime border with Russia's Chukotka Autonomous Okrug to the west. Alaska is by far the largest U.S. state by area, comprising more total area than the next three largest states Texas, California, and Montana combined, and the seventh-largest subnational division in the world.
